Nine Killed in School Shooting in British Columbia, Suspect Found Dead
At least nine people have been confirmed dead following a shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
Police said the incident occurred at the school and a second nearby location. The suspected gunman was also found dead with what authorities described as an apparent self-inflicted injury.
Emergency officials reported that at least two individuals were airlifted to the hospital with serious or life-threatening injuries, while 25 others were treated at local medical facilities. All remaining students and staff were safely evacuated from the school.
British Columbia Premier David Eby described the incident as an unimaginable tragedy, as authorities continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the attack.
