Nigeria Immigration Increases Passport Fees

The Nigeria Immigration Service has announced an increase in the cost of obtaining the Nigerian Standard Passport, effective September 1, 2025. A statement by the Service spokesperson, ACI AS Akinlabi, says the new rates apply only to applications made within Nigeria, with the 32-page, five-year booklet now fixed at N100,000 and the 64-page, 10-year booklet at N200,000.
The Service clarified that fees for Nigerians in the diaspora remain unchanged at 150 dollars and 230 dollars respectively. This adjustment comes barely a year after the last review in September 2024, when the five-year passport was raised to N50,000 and the 10-year booklet to N100,000.
