NFF President Denies Altercation With CAF Vice President Lekjaa
Ibrahim Gusau, President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has denied reports claiming he had a public dispute with Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Moroccan Football Federation and CAF 1st Vice President, during a CAF Executive Committee meeting in Morocco. Gusau described the report as “total falsehood” and emphasized the cordial relationship between Nigeria and Morocco in football and at the governmental level.
He further clarified that he made no comments regarding officiating in the Super Eagles’ semi-final against Morocco and praised CAF, the Morocco Football Federation, and the local organizers for a successful 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The NFF president insisted that the circulating story was unfounded and misleading.
