Naira Strengthens as FX Gap Narrows Below 2%, CBN Says

CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso has said the naira is strengthening against the dollar, with the gap between official and Bureau de Change rates narrowing to below two per cent. He attributed the improvement to ongoing reforms in the foreign exchange sector, which he said have contributed to a rise in Nigeria’s external reserves to $51.94 billion.
