Motsepe Calls CHAN 2024 Best Edition Ever, Unveils Plans to Boost African Football

CAF President Patrice Motsepe has described the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, as the most successful in the tournament’s history. Speaking in Nairobi, Motsepe praised the rising standard of African football and announced major investment plans, including a $1 billion partnership with the private sector and increased financial support for clubs and federations. He also outlined CAF’s intentions to expand women’s and youth competitions and revealed record interest in hosting future Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
