Lagos Advises Motorists to Take Care of Vehicle Number Plates
The Lagos State Number Plate Production Authority has urged motorists to properly maintain their vehicle number plates, emphasizing their role as a key form of identification on the road.
During a meeting with the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency, the Managing Director and CEO of LSNPPA, Olayanju Cole, highlighted concerns over faded, damaged, or defective number plates. Motorists are encouraged to replace old plates with the standardized ones issued by the state government.
Cole also warned against using chemically concentrated substances such as aromatic solvents, acetone, petrol, brake oil, kerosene, alcohol-based spirits, or abrasive materials to clean number plates, as these can cause damage and make the plates unreadable.
The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency reaffirmed its commitment to protecting motorists’ rights and improving service delivery across the state.
