KWASU Takes Swift Action on Student for Inappropriate Skit, Portal Disabled
Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has taken action against a male student allegedly involved in a skit depicting inappropriate behavior towards females.
However, according to Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, Acting Director of University Relations, the student’s portal has been disabled by the order of Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jimoh Shaykh-Luqman, as an initial disciplinary measure while an investigation by the Student Disciplinary Committee is underway.
“KWASU is an institution that prides itself as producing the total graduate, both in character and in learning, and has zero tolerance for any form of indiscipline.”
We wish to reiterate that KWASU holds in high esteem the values of decency that all religions promote and will not condone any act that can joepardise this value,” she said.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the skit does not reflect the values of the institution or the ethical standards upheld by the majority of KWASU students.
