Kwara United Boss Dogo Denies Interference in Players’ Selection
Kwara United head coach Kabiru Dogo has firmly denied any interference from the club’s management in his team selection duties.
The Harmony Boys have recently begun their preparations for the upcoming season, and in a bold move, the club has parted ways with 22 players as they seek to refresh their squad with new talent.
Dogo emphasized that the club’s management has given the technical staff full authority to select players independently.
“We have been instructed to maintain transparency in the player selection process and foster unity within the technical department to ensure our objective of securing a top three finish,” Dogo stated.
The head coach’s comments come amidst a period of significant restructuring for Kwara United, with a clear focus on building a competitive team for the new season.
The club’s first test will come when they host Niger Tornadoes in their opening fixture of the 2024/25 season.
