Kwara State Government Issues Stern Warning Against Examination Malpractice
The Kwara State government has issued a strong warning to principals, head teachers, and pupils to avoid any form of examination malpractice during the upcoming Common Entrance Examination. This examination is set to take place across all 16 local government areas in the state.
In a press release, Peter Amogbonjaye, the spokesman for the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, announced that the Common Entrance (Placement) Examination for admission into junior secondary schools is scheduled for this coming Saturday.
He confirmed that the state government has absorbed all costs associated with the placement examination, ensuring that no financial burden falls on the pupils.
Amogbonjaye emphasized that any principal or head teacher found to be soliciting illegal payments from pupils would face severe legal action.
“We have zero tolerance for examination malpractice in Kwara State. Any attempt to compromise the integrity of this examination will be met with the full force of the law,” he stated.
He also urged the public to note that the examination date remains unchanged, ensuring there is no confusion or misinformation.
“No pupil will be allowed to sit for the examination without their screen card,” Amogbonjaye added, stressing the importance of this requirement for all candidates.
The state government’s proactive stance aims to maintain the integrity of the education system and ensure a fair and transparent process for all pupils.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to support their children in adhering to the rules and preparing adequately for the examination.
