Kwara State Congratulates Baba Kamo Whiteberry on BON Awards Victory
The Kwara State Government has congratulated Habeeb Olatunji Yahaya, popularly known as Baba Kamo Whiteberry, following his win at the 2025 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards.
In a statement released by the Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju, Baba Kamo was hailed as a pride of the state and a shining example of Kwara’s growing influence in Nigeria’s creative sector.
“Whiteberry’s achievement reflects the creativity, resilience, and determination of young talents from Kwara State who continue to make their mark on the national stage,” Olukoju said. She noted that his victory in the Best Social Media Message category is not only a personal milestone but also a triumph for the state and its creative community.
The Commissioner emphasized that the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration remains committed to supporting the creative industry through policies, infrastructure development, and platforms that enable creatives to thrive. She highlighted the government’s investment in arts and culture as a means of creating opportunities, driving job growth, and positioning Kwara as a hub of creative excellence.
Hon. Olukoju congratulated Baba Kamo Whiteberry on his well-deserved recognition and encouraged other young creatives in the state to remain focused, disciplined, and innovative. She reaffirmed that the state would continue to celebrate and support its creative ambassadors who positively project Kwara and contribute to its socio-economic development.
