Kwara Reaffirms Commitment to Complete Oluremi Tinubu Hospital Project
The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to completing the multi-storey Oluremi Tinubu Hospital, describing it as a key health infrastructure project under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
In a statement released on Sunday, the government said construction work on the state-of-the-art hospital, named in honour of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is progressing steadily and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2026.
The facility, a flagship initiative aimed at strengthening tertiary healthcare delivery in Kwara, will be equipped with advanced medical technology, including MRI and CT scanners, to expand access to quality health services and reduce pressure on existing hospitals.
During an inspection visit in August, Governor AbdulRazaq reiterated his administration’s dedication to people-centred projects, highlighting ongoing strategic investments in health, education — including a recent N20 billion approval for public school infrastructure — agriculture, and the digital economy.
He also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting state-driven development initiatives nationwide.
Over the past six years, the AbdulRazaq administration has undertaken significant reforms in the health sector, including constructing, renovating, and upgrading healthcare facilities, providing modern equipment, and installing solar power systems to enhance service delivery.
The government noted that upon completion, the Oluremi Tinubu Hospital will serve as a major boost to Kwara’s healthcare capacity and align with federal efforts to improve medical services across Nigeria.
