Kwara Hosts 2025 Tax Club Quiz Grand Finale, Promotes Fiscal Literacy Among Students
The Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, today, held the grand finale of the 2025 Tax Club Quiz Competition at the Ilorin Innovation Hub. The event, which brought together students, teachers, and education stakeholders from across the state, aimed to promote tax education and fiscal responsibility among young people.
Executive Chairman of KW-IRS, Mrs. Shade Omoniyi, commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his consistent support for education and youth-focused initiatives. Out of the 99 participating schools, Shepherd School, Lafiagi emerged overall winner, followed by Government Secondary School, Lafiagi and Saint Anthony’s Secondary School, Ilorin, as first and second runners-up respectively. The top three schools received cash prizes of ₦2.5 million, ₦1.5 million, and ₦1 million, while consolation prizes were presented to other finalists. Dignitaries at the event reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to fostering tax awareness and civic responsibility through education.
