The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to economic empowerment and inclusive growth through its support for the Pre-Ramadan Trade Fair organised by the Muslimah Entrepreneur Business Forum at the Banquet Hall, Ilorin.
The event, which brought together entrepreneurs, vendors, and consumers, aligns with the state government’s agenda of promoting small and medium-scale enterprises, stimulating local production, and expanding access to markets ahead of the Ramadan season.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Business, Innovation and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, conveyed the administration’s appreciation to the organisers for providing a platform that supports Muslim entrepreneurs, promotes ethical business practices, and creates opportunities for networking, innovation,n and commercial growth within the state.
In his goodwill message, the governor said the Pre-Ramadan Trade Fair reflects his administration’s vision of building a resilient and business-friendly economy driven by local capacity and innovation.
He noted that initiatives of this nature not only help residents prepare economically for the Ramadan period but also contribute to job creation, wealth distribution, and the strengthening of community ties through commerce.
Governor AbdulRazaq further reaffirmed the Kwara State Government’s commitment to policies and programmes that support entrepreneurship, particularly women- and youth-led businesses.
He stressed the importance of leveraging technology, skills development and strategic partnerships to enable local businesses to compete favourably and sustainably in both local and wider markets.
