Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has called on Nigerian youth to remain peaceful, avoid vices, and focus on activities that drive them toward their life goals.
Speaking at an event commemorating International Youth Day in Ilorin, the Governor, represented by Commissioner for Environment and Forestry Nafisat Musa Buge, praised Kwara youths for their commitment to peace and resilience in challenging times.
“Today, as we celebrate International Youth Day, I hope you will gain new insights and resolve to enhance your lives through education, ethical media use, hard work, and positive thinking,” AbdulRazaq said.
He urged the youth to build a supportive network of friends and prioritize dignity, self-respect, and good health over negative influences such as drugs and crime.
International Youth Day, observed on August 12, recognizes the importance, power, and contributions of young people to society.

The Governor highlighted various initiatives such as the Innovation Hub, Sugar Film Factory, Visual Arts Centre, and Garment Factory, which are designed to provide young people with opportunities in line with global trends.
