Kwara Governor Extends Eid-el-Adha Felicitations, Calls on Muslim Community to Reflect on Lessons of Hajj
As the Muslim community prepares to celebrate Eid-el-Adha, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to Muslims across the state.
In a statement released by Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, the Governor extended his prayers for blessings upon the ummah and invoked divine guidance to keep them steadfast on the path of goodness.
Governor AbdulRazaq also took a moment to congratulate the pilgrims from Kwara State who recently completed their Hajj rites. Highlighting their spiritual journey culminating at Mount Arafah, he fervently prayed for the acceptance of their Hajj and wished them safe travels back home, with the ultimate reward of Al-jannah Firdaus.
Furthermore, the Governor urged the Muslim community to reflect deeply on the profound lessons of Hajj, emphasizing virtues such as patience, sacrifice, piety, faith in God, justice, fairness, mutual support, and unwavering reliance on the Creator in all aspects of life.
Acknowledging the current socioeconomic challenges facing the nation, Governor AbdulRazaq called upon all citizens to support and pray for the President, urging collective efforts towards Nigeria’s progress.
“In Kwara State, preparations have been made to ensure a joyous and safe Eid celebration,” the statement continued. “Various recreational facilities have been opened across the state, inviting residents to partake in memorable festivities. Despite ongoing construction projects that may cause temporary inconveniences, aimed at enhancing our urban and rural areas, the Governor appeals for patience from commuters.”
The Governor concluded his message by extending heartfelt wishes for a blessed Eid to everyone in Kwara State and beyond.
