Kwara First Lady Distributes School Sandals to Pupils Across State

The First Lady of Kwara State and Chairperson of the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum, Ambassador Professor Olufolake Abdulrazaq, has distributed school sandals to students in public schools across the three senatorial districts of the state.
The distribution, held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Office of the First Lady in Government House, Ilorin, formed part of ongoing interventions to improve the learning experience and welfare of school children.
The initiative is designed to provide comfort for pupils and ensure they can attend classes with ease, regardless of their backgrounds. It also seeks to support the broader goal of promoting access to education and safeguarding children’s well-being.
Over the years, the Office of the First Lady, through the Ajike People Support Centre, has implemented a range of programmes, including scholarships, school supplies, family support, skill acquisition, and empowerment schemes aimed at complementing government efforts in the education sector.
Officials at the event described the sandal distribution as timely and impactful, noting its alignment with the administration’s agenda of improving education and promoting locally made products.
The ceremony was attended by the wives of top government officials, members of the state cabinet, political representatives, religious leaders, artisans, students, teachers, and principals from across the state.
