Kwara APC Releases Local Government Primaries Results, Begins Appeal Process
The Kwara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the first batch of results from its primaries to elect chairmanship and councillorship candidates for the upcoming Local Government elections.
The results cover all Local Governments in the Kwara South Senatorial District and Ilorin West in the Kwara Central Senatorial District. Results for the remaining Local Governments in Kwara Central and the entire Kwara North Senatorial District will be released in the near future.
In tandem with the release, the party has established an Appeal Committee to address any complaints arising from the primaries. This committee will begin hearings at 10 am tomorrow, July 9, 2024, at the party’s old Secretariat in Tanke, Ilorin.
Alhaji Abdullahi Samari Abubakar, Chairman of the Kwara APC Electoral Committee, stated, “All aspirants with documented complaints should seek redress with the committee.”
This step aims to ensure transparency and fairness in the primary election process, reinforcing the party’s commitment to democratic principles and due process.
