Katsina Gov Signs Executive Order to Tackle Thuggery
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has signed an executive order aimed at curbing rising criminal activities, particularly thuggery linked to groups known as Kauraye and Sara-Suka in the state.
The governor announced that a mobile court has been established for the swift trial of offenders as part of efforts to restore law and order in the metropolis.
Radda said the move reflects the government’s renewed commitment to addressing insecurity and improving public safety, noting that a task force on the prevention of criminal activities has already been set up.
According to him, the task force will include security agencies, Hisbah, and other relevant ministries, and will be responsible for identifying, tracking, and dismantling criminal networks.
He added that the team is also mandated to seize illegal weapons and ensure prompt prosecution of suspects through the newly established mobile courts.
