IPC Lifts Suspension on Russia, Belarus Ahead of Milan-Cortina Paralympics

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has lifted its partial suspension on Russia and Belarus, paving the way for their athletes to compete under their national flags at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Paralympic Games. The decision, made during the IPC General Assembly in Seoul, follows a similar move by the International Olympic Committee eight days earlier. However, participation remains uncertain as international federations governing the six winter Paralympic sports, still upholding bans, must license athletes for the 2025/26 season.
