Injury setback for LeBron James ahead of 23rd NBA season

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has been diagnosed with sciatica and will miss the start of the upcoming NBA season.
The 40-year-old forward, entering his 23rd season in the league, is expected to be sidelined for at least three to four weeks as he recovers from the condition, which affects his right side.
The latest setback adds to a series of injury challenges for the four-time NBA champion and four-time MVP. During last season’s playoffs, James suffered a medial collateral ligament sprain in his left knee, forcing him to miss several games. He also experienced nerve irritation in his glute, which delayed his participation in training camp earlier this year.
The Lakers are expected to monitor his progress closely as they prepare for the start of the 2025–26 NBA campaign.
