Hilda Baci Begins Guinness World Record Attempt for Largest Pot of Jollof Rice

Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has officially begun her attempt to set a new Guinness World Record by cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice, targeting the use of 250 bags of rice.
The cooking marathon commenced at Eko Hotels in Lagos, where thousands of fans and supporters gathered to witness the historic effort. The event, initially scheduled for Muri Okunola Park, was relocated due to overwhelming interest, with over 20,000 people registering to attend.
Before the start of the challenge, Hilda was joined by her mother in a moment of prayer for strength, protection, and endurance, a gesture that resonated strongly with the crowd. Spectators hailed her mother as a central figure in her journey, drawing emotional cheers from the audience.
The Lagos-based chef, who earned international acclaim in 2023 after breaking the record for the longest cooking marathon, is seeking to etch her name once again in Guinness World Records history with this latest feat.
