Government Girls Day Secondary School, Pakata, Ilorin Denies Allegations of Illicit Conduct Among Students
The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of Government Girls Day Secondary School (GGDSS), Pakata, Ilorin, has vehemently denied allegations circulating on social media suggesting that students of the school are involved in illicit activities.
In a communique issued following a thorough investigation chaired by Barrister Abdullateef Lanre Adi, the Parents Teachers Association collaborated with school management and community stakeholders to address the rumors. The investigation concluded that there is no truth to the claims of students indulging in any form of immoral conduct or secret societies.
The communique emphasized the school’s dedication to its primary mandate of education and moral upbringing, with a strict stance against indiscipline and unethical behavior. It refuted the baseless allegations tarnishing the school’s reputation, renowned for its academic excellence.
Furthermore, the Parents Teachers Association asserted that there were no reports from the school management indicating any involvement of students in unregistered societies, labeling such accusations as malicious and slanderous.
Contrary to the rumors, the investigation confirmed the students’ well-being, dismissing any suggestions of spiritual possession among them. The PTA expressed satisfaction with the school’s management and staff for maintaining discipline and fostering a conducive learning environment.
Acknowledging the support of the state government, particularly Governor Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Razaq’s administration, the communique appreciated efforts to transform the education sector. It also highlighted the collaborative efforts between the management, staff, and the PTA in ensuring orderliness within the school premises.
Despite the allegations, the communique reassured parents and guardians of the safety and moral upbringing of their children within the school. It urged them to instill sound morals and shield their children from negative influences.
Amidst the controversy, teaching and learning continue unabated, fostering a peaceful atmosphere within the school community, devoid of palpable fears among students and staff.
