Fire Guts Airtel Network Mast in Ilorin, Contained by Kwara Fire Service
The Kwara State Fire Service on Monday contained a fire outbreak at an Airtel network mast in Osin Okete, Ilorin West Local Government Area. The fire, which occurred at Mast 614, broke out around 1:27 p.m. and affected a generator on the site as firefighters promptly arrived at the scene and brought the blaze under control by 2:04 p.m., preventing it from spreading to the mast and nearby equipment while Preliminary investigations are underway to determine the cause of the incident.
Furthermore, the Director of the service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, commended the swift response of the fire crew and advised facility managers to ensure proper electrical and fuel safety measures while promptly reporting emergencies to reduce risks and damage.
