FG Ends Physical Verification of Academic Credentials, Moves Fully Online
The Federal Government has announced the full digitisation of academic credential authentication and evaluation, ending physical verification processes across the country.
The Federal Ministry of Education disclosed that all applications will now be processed strictly online through its official verification portal as part of efforts to improve transparency, efficiency, and service delivery.
According to the ministry, the new system aligns with the government’s digital transformation agenda and is designed to reduce processing time, improve data integrity, and enhance credibility in academic verification.
Applicants are required to register and upload relevant documents via the official portal, while institutions are expected to send transcripts directly through designated official email channels for verification.
The ministry added that physical visits for credential authentication will no longer be necessary, urging applicants to comply with the new online process for seamless processing.
