June 12, 2024

Nigerian rapper and singer, Folarin Falana known as by his stage name Falz has expressed his disappointment and frustration with the government’s handling the negotiations about the minimum wage with the Nigerian Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress.
In an exclusive interview with Legit.ng, Falz criticized the government’s response to the labour unions’ demands, stating that it was “heartless” and “not compassionate”.
Furthermore, the rapper also shared how the strike affected he when he had some businesses to handle in Lagos. He also called into question the legitimacy of the government, asking if it truly represents the people as everyone was hoping that they would enter and surprise us, but they didn’t and it’s not surprising of the government. He also expressed his disappointment that the government did not take action until the labour unions went on strike, shutting down the country’s infrastructure.
