Emir Sulu-Gambari Congratulates Muslims on Completion of Ramadan 1447 AH
Ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations tomorrow, Friday, March 20, 2026, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has congratulated Muslims in Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, and across Nigeria on completing the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH.
Speaking from Turkiye, where he is on vacation, the Emir expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting the Muslim community the strength and patience to observe fasting, prayers, and charitable acts throughout Ramadan.
He urged Muslims to uphold the virtues of Ramadan, including piety, humility, generosity, tolerance, and love, during Eid and beyond. The monarch also called for peace, unity, and religious harmony across communities, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect regardless of faith or ethnicity.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari encouraged citizens to shun violence, support the less privileged, and reconcile with one another while celebrating the festival with decorum and obeying law and order. He prayed for acceptance of fasting, prayers, and good deeds and for more opportunities to observe Ramadan in good health and faith.
