Dangote, NNPCL Seal Gas Supply Deal

Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) have signed an enhanced gas supply agreement aimed at ensuring adequate gas supply for Dangote Group’s ongoing and planned expansion projects.

Under the agreement, three Dangote subsidiaries—Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Dangote Fertiliser Plant, and Dangote Cement Plc—expanded their existing Gas Sales and Purchase Agreements with NNPCL subsidiaries, Nigerian Gas Marketing Limited, and NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company Limited. The upscaled arrangement is expected to support Dangote Group’s Vision 2030 through increased production capacity and improved access to cleaner energy, as the Federal Government described the Gas Master Plan 2026 as a shift from policy formulation to execution, with emphasis on commercial viability, infrastructure development, and coordinated sector-wide implementation. The plan aligns with the Decade of Gas Initiative and positions natural gas as central to Nigeria’s energy security, industrialisation, and energy transition goals
