Coach Randy Waldrum Axes Ebi and Ordega from Olympic Squad
Randy Waldrum, the Super Falcons Head Coach has finalized the squad for the upcoming Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in Paris, France, according to reports but however Onome Ebi and Francisca Ordega have been excluded from the squad amidst controversy.
Meanwhile, earlier reports had suggested that the tension between Ebi and Waldrum, with Ebi challenging the coach regarding her inclusion in the Olympic Games list which led to a social media outburst where she criticized Waldrum and as a result, Waldrum has decisively removed both players from the squad, naming a final roster which includes Rasheedat Ajibade, Chiamaka Nnadozie, and 15 other players.
Moreover, the squad members who are currently enjoying holidays in Nigeria, will converge with home-based players and officials for a flight from Abuja to Sevilla, Spain on Thursday night and will begin a two-week training camp with the other members upon arrival in Sevilla on Friday.
