Cardi B Becomes First Female Rapper to Debut Two Albums at No. 1

American rapper Cardi B has made music history by becoming the first female rapper to see her first two studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Her latest release, Am I The Drama?, opened with 200,000 equivalent album units, marking the strongest first week of 2025 for an R&B or hip-hop album by a woman. The achievement mirrors the success of her 2018 debut project, Invasion of Privacy, which also entered the chart at the top spot.
The strong debut was fueled by heavy streaming numbers alongside robust physical sales, with multiple CD and vinyl editions boosting performance. Industry trackers confirmed that Am I The Drama? now holds the year’s biggest first-week sales for a female hip-hop or R&B artist.
In a promotional highlight, Cardi B set a Guinness World Record by delivering 176 signed copies of the album via drones within one hour across the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
The rapper is expected to extend the album’s momentum with a nationwide arena tour scheduled to begin in February 2026, offering fans the chance to experience her signature high-energy performances live.
