Cameroon Win First Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Title
Cameroon have won the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after defeating Malawi 3-0 in Sunday’s final in Rabat, Morocco. Marie Ngah opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Naomi Ndjoah Eto doubled the lead eight minutes later. Ngah added her second just before half-time to give Cameroon a commanding advantage, with the scoreline remaining unchanged in the second half. The victory gives Cameroon their first-ever Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title after finishing runners-up in 2004, 2014 and 2016. Malawi, who were appearing in the tournament final for the first time, finished as runners-up after their impressive run to the final.
