APC Governors’ Forum Congratulates Senator Okpebholo on Edo Election Victory
The All-Progressive’s Congress Governors’ Forum has extended its congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressive’s Congress (APC) following his victory in the Edo State governorship election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission announced Okpebholo as the winner on Sunday, with a total of 291,667 votes, defeating his closest rival, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party, who garnered 247,274 votes. Olumide Akpata from the Labour Party finished a distant third with 22,761 votes.
Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, expressed that Okpebholo’s victory reflects the trust and confidence the people of Edo State have in him.
In his statement, he conveyed heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the APC and the Forum, emphasizing that the mandate given to Okpebholo reaffirms the public’s belief in the party’s vision for sustainable development.
Furthermore, He expressed optimism that under Okpebholo’s leadership, Edo State is set to embark on a transformative era of growth and prosperity.
Uzodimma concluded by highlighting that this victory is not only a success for the APC but also for the entire state and nation, as they collectively strive for a better and more progressive Nigeria.
He wished Okpebholo a successful tenure, one that would usher in unprecedented progress for the people of Edo State.
