Adele Announces Engagement to Rich Paul During Munich Concert
British singer Adele has officially announced her engagement to American sports agent Rich Paul. The news came during her concert in Munich, Germany, on August 9, where Adele made a surprising revelation to her fans.
While performing, Adele noticed a fan holding a sign that read, “Will you marry me?” The singer responded to the sign with a heartfelt message, “I can’t marry you because I’m already engaged, so I can’t, but thank you for your kind words.” She then revealed what appeared to be an engagement ring, prompting a cheer from the audience.
Although Adele did not explicitly name her fiancé during the announcement, it is widely speculated that she is referring to Rich Paul. The couple has been together since 2021.
Adele’s engagement comes after her previous marriage to Simon Konecki, with whom she shares a son.
In addition to her personal news, Adele also shared insights into her mental and emotional experiences. During her Munich show, the 36-year-old singer spoke candidly about her struggles with gender and sexuality. Despite identifying as a straight woman, Adele revealed that she often feels like “a gay man trapped in a straight woman’s body.”
Adele’s openness about her feelings comes as she prepares to take a break from music. In a recent interview with German broadcaster ZDF, she announced plans to step away from the music scene after the final leg of her current tour in November to focus on new creative projects.
