Actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande Denies Allegations of Affair with Senate President Godswill Akpabio
Famous Nigerian actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has vehemently denied recent reports alleging she had an affair with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The allegations surfaced on Sunday in a viral report that named Dakore among several female celebrities purported to be Akpabio’s ‘side chicks.’
In a post on her official Instagram page on Monday, Dakore expressed her shock and disappointment over the accusations, asserting that she had never met Akpabio.
“I saw text messages and calls this morning, alerting me to a very wicked lie from the pit of hell. I must say that I’m very disappointed, shocked, and appalled. And I want to categorically state that I have never ever met the Senate president in my life,” she wrote.
The actress emphasized her commitment to her family, stating, “I have not had any cause to be in the same room with him, not to talk of being his side chick.
I’m happily married with two beautiful children. So, for a jobless, wicked blogger to decide to put my name amongst women who have been with this man is totally wicked and unfounded.”
Dakore declared her readiness to take legal action against the baseless claims, highlighting her frustration with the attempt to tarnish her reputation.
“It is a lie, and I am ready for any legal action because, at this point, you have messed with the wrong person. I keep to myself, mind my business, I drink water, and I do my work. So for someone to want to tarnish my hard-earned name and image for some clicks, no way.”
She further challenged anyone to provide evidence of her alleged involvement with Akpabio, offering a reward of N5 million for any video or audio proof.
“I’m not going to accept it or be quiet about it. I want to put it out there. Anyone who can provide video or audio evidence that I have been with this man, I would give you N5 million right now,” she added.
Dakore’s firm denial and willingness to take legal steps underscore her determination to protect her reputation and family from unfounded rumors.
