Kwara Launches Inclusive Policy for Visually Impaired Students

The Kwara State Government has approved the immediate admission of visually impaired girls into Queen Elizabeth Secondary School, Ilorin, with provisions for free education, feeding, and accommodation. The initiative, announced by the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, is aimed at strengthening inclusivity and reducing the number of out-of-school children in the state. It aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Four, which promotes access to inclusive and equitable quality education. The government described the policy as a bold step to ensure that no child, regardless of physical challenges, is left behind in the pursuit of learning opportunities.
