At Least 13 Dead, 20 Injured in Car Explosion Near Red Fort, New Delhi
At least 13 people have been killed and 20 others injured following a car explosion near the Red Fort in New Delhi, India, on Monday night. The blast, which occurred just before 7 pm local time, is believed to have originated from a Hyundai i20 that had stopped at a traffic signal.
Although the authorities have yet to confirm the cause of the explosion, police have invoked anti-terror laws as part of the investigation. The scene was left with mangled bodies and damaged vehicles, prompting police and investigators to cordon off the area and control the crowds.
