NOA and IEDPU Launch Campaign to Tackle Moral Decadence Among Kwara Youths

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), in partnership with the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), has launched a sensitization campaign in Ilorin to address rising moral decadence among youths in Kwara State. The initiative began with an awareness walk aimed at discouraging social vices such as cultism, drug abuse, cybercrime, and ritual practices.
IEDPU President Alhaji Abdulmumini Abdulmalik said the campaign seeks to revive traditional values and strengthen community efforts to reduce harmful behaviors. NOA officials highlighted the importance of parental guidance and community engagement in shaping youth character, while a planned town hall meeting will involve traditional leaders, religious institutions, security agencies, and youth groups to develop sustainable solutions. The delegation also visited the Emir’s Palace, where representatives pledged continued support for efforts to uphold moral values in the state.
