Wizkid Emerges As Africa Highest Earning Artist On Spotify

Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has been named Africa’s highest-earning artiste on Spotify, with monthly earnings of $1 million.
The announcement was made by music statistics platform Chart Masters, which recently published global artists’ monthly earnings on the streaming platform. Wizkid’s achievement places him at the top of Africa’s earners list, which is largely dominated by Nigerian artists.
Following Wizkid on the list are Burna Boy with $782,148, Tems with $660,210, and South African singer Tyla, who earned $607,804. Other Nigerian stars featured include Davido ($458,615), Asake ($451,553), Omah Lay ($421,123), Ayra Starr ($400,972), and Rema ($367,973).
Globally, Canadian rapper Drake and American singer Taylor Swift topped the charts, earning $7,717,904 and $7,713,106, respectively. Wizkid’s streaming success further solidifies his position as a leading figure in the African music industry.
