UCL: Alonso Confirms Boniface Available for Atletico Madrid Clash

Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has confirmed that Victor Boniface will be included in the squad for the UEFA Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.
Boniface, who has been sidelined since November with a thigh injury sustained during international duty, is set to make his return after missing Leverkusen’s last 12 games in all competitions.
Speaking at a press conference, Alonso expressed optimism about the striker’s recovery and readiness to rejoin the team.
“We trained again this morning and then we decided that Victor Boniface can go on the UCL trip to Madrid with the team,” Alonso said. “He is getting better and better and he will be in the squad tomorrow (today). This is very positive news for all of us and of course for him. Boni is feeling good and it’s great that he is back with us.”
The 24-year-old forward has been a key player for Bayer Leverkusen this season, scoring eight goals and providing one assist in 15 appearances across all competitions.
Boniface’s return comes as a significant boost for Leverkusen as they prepare for a crucial encounter in their Champions League campaign
