Morocco, Nigeria’s Group B opponent in the 2025 U-20 AFCON, defeated Ghana 1-0 in a friendly match as part of their tournament preparations. The competition, set to take place in Côte d’Ivoire from April 26 to May 18, features Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt, and South Africa in Group B, while Ghana faces Côte d’Ivoire, DR Congo, and Tanzania in Group A. The top four teams will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, with Senegal entering as defending champions. Nigeria’s Flying Eagles finished third in the 2023 edition in Egypt.
