Tinubu’s Reform Policies Set to Bring Relief to Nigerians, Minister of state for Health and Social Welfare Assures
Dr. Iziaq Salako, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu’s reform policies will soon alleviate the challenges facing the country. He urged citizens to be patient as the administration works to address the nation’s difficulties. The Minister made these remarks during a distribution event for subsidy removal palliatives and free medical services, which took place at the Omidokun Hall in Ayetoro, the headquarters of Yewa North Local Government Area in Ogun State.
Salako explained that the distribution of rice and fertilizers was part of the government’s effort to mitigate the ongoing food crisis. He emphasized that the economic hardships currently affecting the country would soon pass, and that the medical outreach was a personal initiative to provide essential healthcare services to the local community. In total, 1,300 bags of rice and 600 bags of fertilizer were distributed across five local government areas in Ogun West Senatorial District.
The Minister also highlighted that the palliatives were being distributed to various groups, including party members, market women, religious organizations, traditional rulers, and community leaders. Special care was taken to avoid chaos during the distribution, with designated representatives from these groups receiving the items in an organized manner. This approach was designed to ensure orderliness and prevent the stampedes that have occurred in similar distribution events across the country.
On the occasion of the upcoming Christmas season, Salako conveyed President Tinubu’s message to Nigerians, wishing them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The President encouraged citizens to stay cautious and prioritize security while celebrating. He expressed confidence that the reforms implemented by his administration would lead to a better future for the country, improving the lives of Nigerians in the near future.
