Tanke Fire Incident: Kwara Fire Service Commends Residents’ Quick Action

A fire outbreak caused by a power surge occurred at No. 8 Aiyegbede Street, Awolowo, Tanke, Ilorin, on March 20, 2025, affecting a two-flat residential building. While only the sitting room of the two-bedroom flat sustained fire damage, a resident, Mr. Owolabi, quickly alerted others and rescued a mother and her child unharmed. The Kwara State Fire Service responded swiftly to contain the fire. Director Prince Falade John sympathized with the victims, emphasized fire safety measures, and commended residents for their prompt actions in assisting those affected.
