SUU Adasu University Condemns Yelewata Killings, Demands Justice
The Academic Staff Union of Universities chapter of Rev. Father Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi has condemned the recent deadly attack on Yelewata in Guma LGA, Benue State, describing it as part of a troubling pattern of violence threatening lives and livelihoods across rural communities.
Expressing deep concern over the impact on food security during the peak farming season, the union urged both federal and state governments to enhance protection for citizens and ensure justice for victims while calling for urgent humanitarian aid and resettlement efforts to support displaced persons and restore peace in the region.
