Super Eagles Striker Victor Osimhen Allegedly Punches Journalist in Istanbul

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, has been accused of assaulting a journalist during a late-night outing in Istanbul, Turkey.
The alleged incident occurred as Osimhen was leaving an entertainment venue with friends. According to Turkish media outlet Posta Newspaper, tensions flared when a group of reporters, including journalist Tolga Bozduman, attempted to photograph the Nigerian striker.
Bozduman recounted the event, claiming, “I filmed Osimhen at the door with three of my colleagues. When the flashes went off, all hell broke loose. He ran towards me, screaming. He tried to take my camera away from me, but I didn’t let him.
“The punch he threw hit me in the head. My right side still hurts. He then started swearing. Then he offered, ‘Destroy the footage, I’ll give you money.’ When I refused, he threatened me by saying, ‘I’ll destroy you.’”
Neither Osimhen nor Galatasaray has issued an official statement addressing the allegations.
Despite this off-field controversy, Osimhen has been in fine form for the Turkish club. The 26-year-old has registered an impressive 15 goals and six assists in 19 matches across all competitions, cementing his status as a key player for the team.
The alleged incident has sparked mixed reactions online, with some calling for an investigation and others urging caution until all facts are verified. As the story develops, football fans and media outlets alike will be watching closely for further updates.
