Super Eagles striker Osimhen Sidelined For Two Weeks Due To Injury
Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is expected to be sidelined for two weeks due to an injury.
Osimhen, who plays for Galatasaray, sustained the injury during Sunday’s match against Sivasspor, where he scored the second goal to help secure a 2-3 away victory for his team.
On Monday afternoon, the Nigerian international underwent an MRI examination, which revealed a moderate strain and bleeding in his right upper back muscle.
“Victor Osimhen, who felt pain in his upper back muscle during match week 15, was diagnosed with a moderate strain and bleeding in his right upper back muscle group during the MRI examination performed at our hospital,” the report from Turkish news outlet Fanatik confirmed.
Treatment for the injury has already begun, and Osimhen is expected to miss at least two weeks of action. Despite the setback, the forward has been in strong form for Galatasaray this season, contributing crucial goals to the team’s success.
