Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle Boosts Flying Eagles’ Morale Ahead of U20 AFCON
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle visited the Flying Eagles at their training ground in Abuja on Tuesday to boost their morale ahead of the CAF U20 AFCON.
The Flying Eagles had resumed a ten-day training camp on February 10 in preparation for friendly matches against Egypt’s U20 team, but the games were canceled after both nations were drawn into the same AFCON group alongside Morocco and South Africa.
Despite the cancellation, the team remains in camp, preparing for the tournament set for April in Côte d’Ivoire. Chelle, who arrived in Nigeria to begin preparations for the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March, encouraged the young players to aim for gold. The Flying Eagles will kick off their AFCON campaign against Egypt before facing South Africa in their second group match.
