Stop Politicizing Insecurity in Kogi, State Government Warns

June 10, 2025

The Kogi State Government has called on citizens, media, and politicians to refrain from politicizing insecurity, stressing its progress in combating kidnappers through strategic measures. Commissioner for Information Kingsley Fanwo, speaking in Lokoja on Tuesday, warned that spreading fear or misinformation emboldens criminals and undermines community resilience.

Attributing rising threats to criminal migration from intensified operations in the North East and North West, the government highlighted its efforts in deploying advanced security infrastructure and fostering community engagement.
