Six Dead, Dozens Rescued as Tourist Submarine Sinks Off Egypt

A tourist submarine carrying 45 passengers, including children, sank near Hurghada, Egypt, killing at least six people and injuring nine others. The vessel, operated by Sindbad, was on a trip to the Red Sea’s coral reefs when it crashed about a kilometer from shore. Most passengers, including 38 Russians, were rescued, with some taken to hospitals as the cause of the sinking remains unclear as investigations are still ongoing. However recent maritime accidents and regional conflicts have raised concerns about safety in the area.
