Senator Natasha’s Home Attacked Again, One Suspect in Custody

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s residence in Ihima, Kogi State, came under attack again on Tuesday, prompting strong condemnation from her media office, which accused political opponents of orchestrating the violence to silence her. The Senator, currently under suspension for protesting alleged sexual harassment by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, was not harmed. Police confirmed the arrest of a suspect, Jose Suberu, who was apprehended at the scene and reportedly confessed to being involved, his third time targeting the home. A cutlass and charms were recovered from him, while other armed attackers fled and remain at large. Local police, vigilantes, and youths successfully repelled the attack. This marks the second incident in recent months, following a similar assault on the senator’s family compound in April.
