Senate Launches Probe Into MDAs Over Federal Character Violations
The Senate has directed its Committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs to investigate all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to assess their compliance with constitutional provisions on equitable representation in recruitment, promotions, and infrastructure development. This follows concerns raised by Senator Osita Ngwu over persistent imbalances in Nigeria’s public service, including limited job opportunities, skewed promotions, and restricted mobility outside the sector.
