Sanni Blames Red Card, Defensive Errors for Kwara United’s Loss to Niger Tornadoes

January 31, 2025

Kwara United’s technical adviser, Tunde Sanni, attributed his team’s 2-1 loss to Niger Tornadoes in their matchday 21 encounter at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna, to misfortune and the red card received by midfielder Isaa Gata for a reckless tackle on Abba Khalid early in the game. The red card, coupled with defensive errors, significantly impacted the Harmony Boys’ performance. Currently in 12th position with 26 points, Kwara United will look to bounce back when they face El-Kanemi Warriors in a matchday 22 fixture in Ikenne.
